PAUSE

An invitation to expand your emotional capacity, receive the nurturing you generously give and prioritize collective care.

January 6-February 24, 2026

Tuesdays, 6:30-8pm

The Time to Pause is Now:

Your needs, feelings and well being matter.

You know how important it is to practice self-care, fill your cup, but even self care feels like one more thing to do on your endless to do list.

The systems we have in place in our culture are set up for only some of us to thrive or we are told we are being selfish for taking care of ourselves.

Many of us have gotten into the habit of operating from a place of burnout, overwhelm or exhaustion.

We know we SHOULD care for ourselves consistently, so why aren’t we?

It has always taken a village

Caregiving was meant to be shared.

We were not meant to do it alone.

Step into an intimate group of collective care.

Where you will be seen, supported and restored

Pause is an invitation to expand your emotional capacity, receive the nurturing and care you generously give and prioritize your needs getting met.

When we share our experience, strength and hope we inspire others to do the same.

Elements of PAUSE

My name is Natalie Benway-Correll

I believe a life well lived is possible when we connect with the truth of our bodies, the power of our voice and the belonging we experience when we recognize we don’t have to do it alone.

As a survivor of childhood trauma, I have spent a good part of my life feeling disconnected from myself.

In my healing process, I slowly began to come home to the inherent wisdom and safety of my body.

I learned to ask for what I need, release what doesn’t serve me and move toward collective care, support and belonging.

Meet the PAUSE Team

Our gifted yoga tehers and skilled massage therapist are here to support your rest, renewal, and deeper connection to body and breath

  • Mimi is a yoga teacher, movement artist, and aerialist with over 15 years of teaching experience.

With a passion for thoughtful and dynamic movement, she approaches her craft with presence and curiosity, creating sensorial experiences that foster strength, mobility, and self-awareness. Her teaching draws from a rich background in yoga, circus arts, and somatic practice, blending discipline with play to create spaces of care and exploration.

Mimi began teaching yoga in 2010, first trained in the Bikram method while working in Beijing. She went on to complete her 200-hour certification with Swara Yoga Academy and later immersed herself in Ashtanga Vinyasa through studies in Mysore, India with teachers including BNS Iyengar, Vijay Kumar, and Saraswati Jois. Her afternoons with Dr. M.A. Jayashree and Professor M.A. Narasimhan deepened her appreciation for chanting and yoga philosophy. Mimi’s teaching integrates foundations of Ashtanga Vinyasa and Bikram hot yoga, alongside strength-based practices like handstanding drills and sculpt. Students can expect classes that emphasize mindful alignment, embodied awareness, and movement with patience and attention.

Influenced by somatic practices such as Skinner Release Technique and Alexander Technique, as well as studies with Tim Feldmann and Richard Freeman, Mimi bridges her yoga teaching with her professional career as an aerialist and choreographer. Her work in performance and circus technique continues to inform her teaching, inviting students to cultivate a deeper relationship between body, space, and expression—both on and off the mat.

  • Uma began practicing yoga at age 10 with her father, rooted in traditional principles of discipline and awareness. After over a decade working in the U.S. as an Internal Auditor, she returned to India in 2008 and dedicated herself to teaching yoga. She holds a Master’s Degree in Yogic Sciences, is a Yoga Alliance ERYT500, RCYT (Children’s Yoga), and RPYT (Prenatal Yoga) certified teacher, and has trained across multiple traditions including Sivananda, Satyananda, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Yin, and hot yoga.

Her classes invite students to move slowly into classical practices, beginning with awareness of the spine, breath, and mind space.

Uma believes transformation can arise even from a simple 30-minute practice, and she draws on yoga, naturopathy, and Ayurveda to support holistic well-being.

With over 15 years of teaching experience, she is dedicated to helping students grow steadily in their practice and share yoga as a way of living with their families and communities.

  • Kimberly is a deeply loving and intuitive holistic practitioner.

She has been a birth doula and lactation consultant for the past 15 years supporting women with gentle kindness and authenticity.

As the owner of Be Loved Body Work and Yoga Studio, she is committed to offering skilled and compassionate bodywork and yoga classes.

Kimberly is trained and experienced in Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, prenatal and postnatal massage, cupping, and Reiki.

Inspired by the work of Sonya Reneee Taylor’s book My Body is not an Apology,

PAUSE will explore 3 essential processes for Collective Care and Restoration.

We cannot simply talk about what needs to change.

The transformation needs to be grounded in the body and held within the support of the collective.

This 3-step process addresses our:

Thinking | Doing | Being

PAUSE is for you if:

  • You want to develop healthy habits for slowing down, turning in to yourself and the support of the group and regulating your nervous system.

  • You want to expand your emotional capacity to stay grounded and clear for the highs and lows in your life.

  • You want to stay emotionally regulated and address the habit of over scheduling, over efforting and overdoing.

  • You want to understand how to let go of a sense of duty, compliance, people pleasing, perfectionism or lack of imagination in all aspects of your life.

  • You are hungry to know more about how a calm nervous system leads to deeper access to a well lived life.

  • You want positive feedback and accountability for maintaining your self care practices.

  • You want to create safety and security in your body so you can reclaim your full body yes’s, no’s and maybe’s.

  •  You want to uproot old expectations and narratives about giving and receiving care and take the time to PAUSE.

We invite all those who identify as female, femme, trans, non-binary, or genderqueer to participate.

“Through the sacred art of pausing, we develop the capacity to stop hiding, to stop running away from our experience.

We begin to trust in our natural intelligence, in our naturally wise heart, in our capacity to open to whatever arises.”
